GC3C Now Accepting Impact Grant Applications

The GC3C Impact Grant is now available to licensed child care providers in Dickinson and Geary Counties. This grant is designed to help providers improve access to Extended Care within their facilities or support Kindergarten Readiness for the children in their care.

The Geary County Child Care Coalition (GC3C) invites licensed child care providers in Geary and Dickinson Counties to apply for this Impact Grant, which supports early childhood education providers by funding high-quality classroom resources, professional development, and services that help providers offer non-traditional care.

Funded by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) through its Child Care Matters initiative and in collaboration with All In For Kansas Kids, this program supports communities working to address local child care needs.

Awardees may receive up to $5,000 for one or more of the following:

  • Extended Care: Funding to help extend hours or increase capacity. This does not include home improvements or additions. Examples of eligible expenses include security upgrades, cribs, and bedding materials for overnight care.
  • Training/Professional Development: Support for staff training and professional growth.
  • Curriculum and Learning Materials: Supplies, toys, or a complete curriculum set.

Licensed providers interested in applying can visit the website to submit an application:

Applications are open until September 1, and grants will be distributed by October 2026.
